Xiao Chaihu Tang

Xiao Chaihu Tang Formula: 

Chaihu 24 grams (half jin)

9 grams (3 liang) of Scutellaria baicalensis

Ginseng (usable Codonopsis pilosula) 9 grams (3 liang)

Jiang Banxia Wash 9g (half liter)

9 grams (3 liang) of licorice

Cut 9 grams of ginger (3 liang)

12 large jujube sprouts

Xiao Chaihu Tang, also known as Minor Bupleurum Decoction, is a traditional Chinese herbal formula that has been used for centuries.

For those who are prone to insomnia, especially those who wake up from 1 to 3 pm at night, and those who are prone to anger, this small Chaihu soup can effectively alleviate your symptoms

It is derived from the Treatise on Cold Damage and is generally believed to be the main formula for Shaoyang disease. The Treatise on Cold Damage distinguishes and treats 263 cases of Shaoyang disease: Shaoyang is a disease characterized by bitter mouth, dry throat, and dizziness.
 
266: For those who are unable to cure the sun disease and have transferred to Shaoyang, their lower ribs are hard and full, they feel dry and nauseous, cannot eat, and have not vomited yet due to cold and hot weather. For those whose pulse is heavy and tight, they should be treated with Xiaochaihu Tang.
 
Article 96: For cases of typhoid fever lasting for five or six days, stroke, alternating cold and heat, chest and rib discomfort, aversion to diet, restlessness and vomiting, chest discomfort but not vomiting, thirst, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, palpitations under the ribs, difficulty urinating, lack of thirst, slight fever, or coughing, Xiaochaihu Tang is recommended.
